this past weekend, i was lucky enough to go see the moma’s tim burton exhibition in toronto. i want to describe it… but i wouldn’t even know where to begin… it was, if nothing else, the most inspiring art exhibition i’ve seen. for me, personally, it was especially important because over the past few years as my aesthetic interests have become darker and progressively more morbid, i’ve been a little cautious about how far i take it, and concerned that (since art is the only thing i could possibly ever do for a living without hating my life and therefore is the only way i’ll ever actually want to make money) nobody will want to buy the creepyweird shit that i like doing. seeing tim burton’s work evolve throughout the years and yet never waver from his own unique (and creepyweird) style and vision… well, it just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside… it really is okay to be weird… in fact, it’s beautiful, and everyone should embrace their inner freak.
the exhibition closes on the 17th of april and then returns to new york, and i highly recommend going to see it if you have the opportunity!

ohmagawwdddd.

this is my sweetheart & me outside the expo. his face is priceless. bahahaha <3
